Review on Gamma Sports Supreme Overgrip: Durable & Absorbent for Tennis, Pickleball, Squash, Badminton & Racquetball by Richard Muncy

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great grip for colder weather

These Gamma Supreme grips are great when you just need a grip. I have sweaty hands so I typically use a dry absorbent grip during the hot months and then switch to a traditional sticky grip like this during the colder months, usually from December onwards. It has great stickiness, but the packaging also has an absorbency rating of 4/5, which somewhat met my expectations. I would not use this in hot and/or humid weather. Pros: - Color options - Very tacky and comfortable - Handle length is 125cm which is very long and more than enough to cover all racquet handles - Both ends are tapered which is nice. The pens come pre-wrapped with their own finishing tape rather than a giant roll. Cons: Not very absorbent, making it slippery when wet. As this is a sticky grip, the Gamma logo is expected to appear in the center of the grip. The letters have a different texture (not sticky) and it just looks cheesy. Not a big deal as there is a way to wrap the grip lower so my fingers don't touch the logo. They get hard over time. They're pretty hard to begin with (not as soft as the Wilson Pro or the Yonex Super Grap) so personally I don't really like the feel. The Gamma logo is really the biggest downside of this grip. The text is printed roughly in the middle of the grip and my fingers touch it when I hold the racket. It would be nice if the letters were as sticky as the rest of the pen, but they feel like a different material. There are no logo options like Wilson Pro, Yonex Super Grap or Tourna but they are all more expensive than these. Gamma, please remove the logo entirely or at least print it higher so it doesn't touch your fingers.
