Review on πŸšͺ NAMSAN Pet Door for Screen Door - Doggy Door Protector Slide with Magnetic Flap - Automatic Close & Lockable - Cat Door Screen Gate by Tropingzz Cece

Works on a sliding door with a reinforced screen.

I bought this dog door to put on our sliding door to keep us safe from bugs this summer. Our puppies like to go in and out and this seemed like the best solution to me. A few weeks ago I installed one of the heavy duty pet resistant screens. The tighter you attach the screen, the better it works. I didn't remove the screen door for the install, but I would recommend doing so in hindsight. It was difficult to align it in a vertical position and start the fixing process. I also had to move it closer to the corner like the instructions say, but it still works great where it is. I had a hard time cropping the screen in the middle well enough for the door to open properly. The key is to get a new Precision Blade and do it well the first time you have material left to reach for. I ended up taking the lighter by the edges that weren't perfect for the door to open properly. I didn't bother removing the screws like the others and I even used a drill. I set it to one of the lightest settings, being very careful not to overtighten. Overall it works well for our 20 pound dogs. I don't plan on using locks often, but they're not the easiest to use with sliding door material. It takes a little effort to straighten and fully seat. A longer tongue on the lock helps with this. I've included a picture and a short video to show how sturdy it is with the pet gate. Feel free to ask any questions. If you found this review helpful, please mark it to let me know.

Pros
  • The built-in magnet in the door frame can close automatically when your dog moves the gate, you can even lock the door with a blue lock on both sides if you want to prevent your pets from walking free.
Cons
  • No power
