As a child I played with the original lawn darts. My dad teased us that not only was this a fun game but it also helped water the lawn. Unfortunately, with the original lawn darts, many children were injured because they threw the darts at each other or too high in the air, causing the dart to penetrate the skull or other part of the body. As children we did not abuse the game and did not play dangerously. To relive the fun of childhood, I ordered these lawn darts, thinking they would be safer. Although yes, they are a little safer. You can still throw them high in the air, and they'll pack a good punch if they hit you. No, they do not penetrate the skin. The biggest problem I had with these darts was that they wouldn't stick to the ground after hitting the ground. They rolled or bounced in different areas which was very annoying. You had to somehow roll the darts to get in the circle or learn how to throw them to make them bounce in the circle. After a few throws, the wings of the arrows began to break off, unable to withstand the impact on the ground. Honestly, I prefer the old version.
