Review on HiTow Multi Use Trailer Receiver Extension by Mark Adams

Revainrating 5 out of 5

solve many problems.

I installed this on my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee with OEM hitch. I bought a trunk that when inserted directly into the receiver wasn't as high or as far from the car as I wanted. I have twin tailpipes in the back and the trunk was right over the exits, but it was still too close for comfort. I knew I was going to use a tarp or bag to cover luggage and other items, and the last thing I wanted was to melt or, worse, catch fire. This helped calm me down a bit by moving the holder a few inches away from the back of the car's exhaust and giving it more clearance above it. The quality seems pretty damn good for the price. It's a heavy unit and was evenly covered. I considered other extensions and double receivers, but wasn't embarrassed that there was an extra seam along the long tug extension. I've seen too many people have these welds fail and I felt this was the best alternative as I don't need an extension for towing. I had no trouble installing it in the receiver or attaching accessories. The fit was actually pretty snug, but I still used the anti-rattle pin from my previous bullet extension. In the future I can also use this extension to tow a trailer and transport accessories. It is very comfortable. The only thing I wanted to point out is not a downside to the product but that the proximity sensors always pick it up on this car so it sticks out a bit when reversing. It's constantly beeping because it thinks you're about to hit something, so leaving it on all the time probably isn't ideal. I would highly recommend this product and was lucky enough to snag one at a great price that turned out to be a little cheaper. as an alternative to port transport, even with a 20% discount coupon.
