Got this hair dryer and LOVE it. It was exactly what I needed. The detangler was perfect for my thick 4C hair and it heated up enough to leave my hair straight enough (I never expected bone straightening. This is ridiculous. I have a full head of 4C hair), whenever I had to "soften it up" is enough for certain styles. I literally only blow dry my hair once a week (if that's often) so let's say I used the blow dryer maybe 8 times in total. A month later this caused circuits to switch in my house but I figured no big deal and reset the breaker. Two months later, when I last used it, I dried my hair with a blow dryer on high and I smelled burnt plastic. I turned off the hair dryer to explore and when I set it on the counter there was smoke coming out of the motor/fan. I wouldn't advise anyone to buy it unless you like taking risks or plan to use it for a very long time. I'm sad because I wanted to keep it. I really loved it but I can't risk a fire just because I want cute hair.
