Review on πŸ”Œ TP-Link UE300 USB to Ethernet Adapter – Foldable USB 3.0 LAN Network Adapter for Desktop, Laptop, Apple MacBook, Linux – Supports Windows 10/8.1/8/7/Vista/XP & Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000) by Kyle Rodman

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Short cord is the weak link

From a functional point of view it actually worked very well. However, there were concerns about the USB cable from the start. Of course, after about 9 months of use, the USB cable became intermittent. The Ethernet connection kept dropping. Tests have shown that moving/twisting the USB cable right where it enters the interface box can make or break an Ethernet connection. The cable is very short and will be stressed when connected to a long Category 5 cable and also when folded into a storage compartment. The cable must be reinforced at the entrance to the interface box. Can't use it anymore. .

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Crumpled
