The wall where towels are hung is not level, it curves a bit. There isn't an easy way to adjust to this double towel rail, meaning the fit isn't great, especially on the outer towel rail, but luckily it's usually covered by towels. The gap for the inner towel rail is a few millimeters, but the outer one is very noticeable. In addition, the internal towel rail is secured with a highly visible screw head. Instead, it should be secured with either a small screw that's less visible, or a screw that goes through the bottom and isn't visible (hopefully with an insert too).
