During the turbulent years of my adolescence, I used foamy gels and face soaps to help my oily, troublesome skin become less oily and less problematic. Growing up, I was adamantly opposed to the inclusion of SLS in the formulation of cleansers; however, a sudden outbreak of a skin condition that badly affected my forehead compelled me to visit a specialist, who recommended that I use this gel. So, the gel is both clear and liquid, and while I enjoy the way it smells, I can't help but think of a medical facility whenever I smell it. I always pour it in excess, but for a comfortable wash, there are enough funds with a couple of peas, which makes the packaging, which is a tube with a lid, inconvenient. Because the gel has a liquid consistency, it leaks, and there is a problem with the dosage. It has a very slight lather, yet this does not in any way diminish its capacity to clean. In point of fact, the only things I want to know about cleansers are how well they clean, and how much they dry up the skin. More than this, no treatment will give anything, as they are only applied to the skin for a limited period of time, which prevents the effect from being more obvious. This gel does an excellent job of cleansing: in the evening, it removes any traces of makeup and sebum that may have been left on the face after using makeup remover, and in the morning, it removes any night cream that may have been left behind. The black dots were not altered in any way by the cleaning process, as far as I could tell. The skin does eventually become more taut, despite the fact that it does not clean "to a squeak" and that in the first few minutes there is not really a feeling of dryness. Peeling happens on the forehead and on the wings of the nose when there is no moisturizer (which I forgot to use a couple of times throughout the night), thus the gel did not pass the test for the degree of dehydration that was required (but, given the composition, I had no illusions about this). After using it twice daily for three weeks, morning and night, I have noticed that my skin has become extremely dehydrated, to the point where a full arsenal of hyaluronic serums and creams has a hard time keeping up. It's possible that I'll stop using this gel and switch back to other, gentler products that don't have any soap in the ingredients list.
