I love the idea of locking my closet with a padlock that is invisible when closed. The RFID reader did an excellent job of detecting the opening card from the outside of the cabinet. I spent hours testing, leveling and adjusting this lock to fit my beautiful antique solid wood cabinet and I got it working, locked and unlocked! Here ends the happy part of this story. I then made sure that there were no curious visitors/children/etc. I jerked moderately hard at the locked closet door. and the entire plastic body of the lock shattered with little effort. A five-year-old could pick this lock with a solid wood cabinet door handle. This lock might keep prying eyes away from a light drawer or a cupboard drawer, but it doesn't offer any real security. Comes with a visible brass latch on the outside of the cabinet doors with an antique looking brass padlock.
