Review on πŸ’» Rain Design iLap 13-inch Aluminum Laptop Stand by Paul Dye

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Fantastic product with a small crease.

After losing my previous iLap in the Baton Rouge flood last month (among almost all of my possessions), I flirted a bit with the competitor's aluminum model, which was collapsible. The problem with the Vogek was that while it's the perfect solution for working on a flat surface, it keeps folding back into the position I mostly use my laptop in, on my lap! Over the years I have purchased two padded wrist pads as replacements. Like most velor products, they tend to flatten and shine with prolonged use. Rein must be very proud of his patent as it is almost never discounted. The same goes for replacement pads, but since I haven't found a comparable product I'll stick with it. Speaking of Rain (company) and their replacement pads, I hope you check out these reviews from time to time; I have a suggestion that will bring the pads price down a bit and maybe make happy customers even happier: Make the wrist pads flippable, meaning if one side is flat and shiny, the user can unvelcro the aluminum base and flip it over , leaving the previously flat/shiny part at the bottom. At least consider doing so for those sold as replacements (of course it would be great if they originally shipped that way). As previously mentioned, I was very happy with my Rain product, so much so that I ordered another one.
