The strap is wide which is great but very thin. It's very sticky and I don't use a tape dispenser so sometimes it folds up and sticks to itself and at that point all you have to do is cut it and throw it away, unlike duct tape which you can tear off and still use. Scissors or some sort of blade are a must - don't rip with your hands if you want something remotely useful in the form of a smaller strip. It is written to seal packages well enough to be shipped with ease when it comes to lighter items. I've never tried it with heavy items but I've used similar tape before and I think it will work for wrapping a 2' x 2' pottery/glassware box when moving, for example when a few layers on/ to be placed around the bottom opening of the box and possibly on the corners/bottom edges to prevent the box from opening. I would not recommend it for heavy packaging.
