I tried this shampoo because I love natural/organic shampoos + conditioners, but many of them dry out my hair or just don't leave it feeling clean. (I usually buy Target brands.) I was pleased that it didn't really dry out my hair (it was soft) and my hair was clean afterwards (no sticky/greasy spots). It also smelled very refreshing, not floral like many brands and not overpowering - I don't know how to describe it other than smelling nice and just like my local Aveda salon. Also, I'm a bit stingy, so I don't pay $$ for small bottles (especially since I have too much hair to wash!). I like that it's a reasonable price ($14) for 16 ounces. I was so pleased with the shampoo that I bought a matching conditioner. This is 5 stars because I love its smell, how it feels on my hair, and it's a reasonable price for a natural conditioner that's made in the USA. -- These two products complement each other perfectly, so I will be buying them as a set in the future to save a few bucks more.]
