Review on Bose SoundLink Revolve Portable Acoustics, 8 W, black by Agata yziska ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm impressed! Exactly the product deserves your attention.

I love music and good sound. Bose is also not indifferent. When stand-alone acoustics with good sound appeared, there was a real lack of a stereo base, since a stereo without a stereo base is not at all the same. 15-25 cm within one column is negligible. Therefore, I was looking for an exclusively autonomous pair, of which there are very few. Listened to a lot - Denon, KEF, Sonos, Harman/Kardon, Canton, JBL, Sony. Bose won. And everything would be fine if it were not for the mode of combining into a stereo pair. The engineers of the eminent company approached this very crookedly. 1. You need to perform several actions 2. You can't do without voice prompts 3. ! And the saddest thing is that it almost never works the first time. For example, while the columns are looking for each other, one turns off or the process simply does not end. It looks like the problem is in the acoustics themselves, because both through the Bose Connect application and simply through the buttons on the acoustics, the process is equally unstable. ating the software of the speakers also does not solve anything. In total, "dancing with a tambourine" is provided with almost every association in stereo. I would have changed it a long time ago, but unfortunately there is nothing to change the sound for an affordable price. As a person close to HW & SW, such jambs are wildly surprising: - The merging process must be stable - Pairing setup could be done in one step, taking into account the same speakers, and thereby remove annoying voice prompts In total, a fat minus in the "karma" of a great company.

Pros
  • - Sound, sound and sound. Although his feeling is subjective, but in comparison with many brothers in size, he wins by a margin. - "Pairing" in stereo (I use 2 speakers) is just what allows the sound to unfold and manifest itself to the fullest. - Relatively juicy bass and a good volume level for this size. - Slightly muffled high frequencies, but overall the sound is very balanced. - Fairly durable battery - And of course the design, although not traditional, but very concise - Quality build
Cons
  • - Slightly overpriced (discounted for sound quality, build quality and branding) - Very unstable "pairing" mode in stereo (both standalone and using the Bose Connect app) - see comment - Non-switchable and loud voice messages in stereo merge mode. It is not possible to silently connect and set the stereo mode. - Lack of an application for linking in stereo for a Windows computer Despite everything, 5 points remain for sound and stereo mode
