This is the first instant read thermometer I've used and not only is it exceptionally fast compared to a regular thermometer, it's magnetic too! Didn't realize it when I ordered it but I can stay right in front of my stove so I always know where it is. The detachable probe in the oven is a good length and would also work for grilling, but I haven't tried it yet. I just cooked the perfect chicken with this thing and for the price it's a bargain. As a bonus, there is a bottle opener at one end. For your health!
