During the quarantine, I started cutting my husband's hair. We have found it practical and economical to continue this at home. It used to take my husband 20 minutes to get to his barber, another 15-45 minutes to sit and wait, and 15-30 minutes to get a haircut and pay for it. This is after I went to the trouble of making an appointment. We shaved most of the time and I like to get my hair cut with my boyfriend every two months. This is a replacement kit for our old hair clipper which motor started making strange noises and catching on hair maybe ten years later. I like the new set. First, it's quieter than the old kit and doesn't disturb our conversation. The guides are color-coded so you can instantly choose the right size. This is a brilliant move as I used to get frustrated dialing guide after guide in search of the right number. My husband likes number two, no border work. There's a second, smaller clipper that can be used for more complex transitions and the like, or as a beard grooming tool. He has several of his own guides. One of the best things about this set is that it's battery operated, so no fumbling with cords! I can use it EVERYWHERE! The only complaint I have about this set is that the guides don't snap into place as securely as I would like. Twice when I gave DH his first version with this kit the lead just fell off. So I have to deduct a star from the rating.
