Review on 🎧 Cleer Audio Ally Plus: Noise Cancelling True Wireless Earbuds with 30H Battery, Water Resistance (Navy) by Stephanie Williams

Revainrating 5 out of 5

LOOK AND SOUND Great for headphones

These Cleer Ally Plus in-ear headphones have very low bass but still have excellent mids and highs. Excellent clarity and also the interval sounds very open. This is subjective, but if you prefer a warmer sound, this is your ally, pun intended. Can't stress BASS but they still sound clean, puns everywhere. Seriously I have a 2nd pair because the 1st in the left earbud crackled/crackled when I turned the volume up to about 75% so upon return I got a replacement about 5 days later. It's been about 2 weeks and they've been great so far, even at max volume, which I don't recommend because they get loud. In comparison, I've previously owned a pair of Sony WF-1000XM3s, which rank at or near the top in many YouTube headphone reviews. Both have active noise cancellation, which is the only thing that was noticeably better on the Sony, despite being best in class with this feature. Ally is still doing great with NC and I think it will satisfy most people. I prefer the Ally Plus for the bass they can reproduce, and the mids and highs sound so good that I don't prefer the Sony "a hair's breadth" for their lack of bass. The look initially put me off checking them out when I spotted them on Gamesky's YouTube channel. Imo his review is top notch including the looks. These are good looking headphones that have already received compliments for their modern, urban look. So if you want great sound with deep bass and great, if not the nicest, headphones, this is a great option. I'm surprised they aren't pushing them harder, especially after the price dropped from $179 to $149. I paid for the first before their recent price drop but I still feel they were worth it. They have their downsides (no next/previous track controls AND no app integration), but for me the sound comes first, followed by the visuals. I don't like the 2000 single ear bluetooth "I work in a booth" that the Sony wf-1000xm3 has. I think I'm the first reviewer here to talk about this, so I'm just pointing out that great products are drowning in a sea of mediocrity.

Pros
  • Excellent overall quality
Cons
  • Some bugs
