Typical pressed board material (as described on Best Buy) we were okay with that for what we needed to immediately solve a storage dilemma. Worked for needs in a small laundry room for concealed storing of detergents, cleaning supplies, cleaning cloths etc. away from sight.Not very tall, we built an additional stand to attach to the bottom making it taller and more convenient to access shelves without stooping. I also added small felt pads to allow less wear and tear if doors get slammed shut. It works just fine. My only complaint would be the small plastic pegs for cabinet shelving positioning.I however, replaced mine with metal shelving pegs I later purchased.
