Recently downsized to a single ball pocket. I don't think I've ever used a spare ball, so why bring one? I am happy with the size of the bag. There is plenty of space for everything I need. For example, the ball compartment offers enough space for towels, there are other compartments for shoes and socks, 3 bottles of cleaning products, a diaper bag, pens, etc. I bought lime green and I think it looks great. It fits easily in a locker down my alley. Since I don't have to carry it far, I can't talk with the shoulder strap. Based on another review (probably for a different bag) I cut out a piece of plywood to put under the foam padding in the base to add more stability.
