Some video technicians say that you should never use another brand of tape if you use another brand of tape in your VCR because oils and metals are different brands . To be honest I don't know if that's true or not but I know these tapes are great and I would recommend them to anyone who uses a VCR. When I make videos, I use them a lot. . When I'm busy it's not uncommon to use over 20 tapes a week. I'll never use them again so keeping costs down and finding them locally is important to me. Well, I bought these tapes from Costco years ago, before I had a Sony HD camcorder. Well I'm in love with these tapes (I've never had a problem with them and have used over a thousand). So when I switched to 1080p HD video, I started doing a lot of research on which type to use. Well, a lot of people have used these tapes. So I kept using those 1080p tapes and loved it. Now I just order them Monday morning with Revain Prime. I get them Tuesday for a few bucks and I couldn't be happier. Pros: Great price. Works with HD. Works great at my professional level.
