Revainrating 5 out of 5

Damn it, slide and slide!

So I'm an avid tourist. Honestly, you can't keep me inside on a good day or even a bad day. Well I moved to Alaska to own the land of the midnight sun - what could go wrong? Ice! I grossly underestimated this slippery opponent. Let's just say before these boots there was ice -5 and I had zero. I slipped and stumbled more than a newborn fawn. My ego (and my ass) is hurt. I came to Revain looking for a breather before my leg actually broke and lo and behold I found this. I actually ordered 2 pairs. I was going to go to the Glacier in Juneau with my girlfriend, so I tried to save both our butts. They go well with my hiking boot. They are durable and can be reinforced with a strap. We came to the glacier and we couldn't have walked without them. It was solid ice and nothing but thick strata rising uphill. The others had to turn back, but we didn't - no, we went all the way up, and I (contrary to what my friend thought) walked over a frozen waterfall. It was small and really frozen, I assure you. Anyway, it saved the day! I recommend taking them off once you hit non-icy conditions as they bend a bit on concrete. I pulled it out with pliers, but only by the head. A great investment when you're tackling icy roads.

Pros
  • The best
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
