This device definitely holds the arc very well, allowing you to cut both parallel and perpendicular to the row of pens. It provides a secure fit and looks well paired. However, this also has a disadvantage. Due to the size and number of pins, actually inserting this holder into a large (regular) lightbulb is more of a hassle than expected. That way there are enough pins in the center to hold the smaller bulbs, but not so many pins to make it difficult to insert and remove the larger bulbs.
