If you just want a basic (no screen) very portable DVD player for ALL REGIONS then this should be one of the best deals on planet earth. I bought it for my grandkids to hook up to a projector and modest sound system. This thing instantly plays DVDs of ALL REGIONS (I haven't seen this in any other player, and in fact most manufacturers don't publish the information needed to activate their PAL/NTSC/Secam/region codes - some are required legal nonsense) - this one Dude just WORKS with no fuss in this area (I have a bunch of European DVDs because some of them are cheaper to buy in Europe, even with shipping, than in the US). The grandchildren are delighted; You can watch movies in bed, on the ceiling, or on a big screen like in a movie theater. Something to look forward to in the evenings - no problem putting these kids to bed! The lack of a screen isn't a problem for my application, and since I'm using external amplifiers, the sound doesn't matter either. This is the cheapest way to transfer DVD data to external devices. and, did I mention, it's ALL REGIONS right out of the box?! Ultra compact, ultra cool. afford to buy another half dozen at this price.
