A winter issue of "Cosmo" in 2022 was the first place I "heard" this scent, and I immediately vanished, inhaled the page indefinitely, and purchased a replacement magazine after the previous one stopped smelling. There were no major cosmetics retailers in my city at the time, so I spent almost a month visiting several tiny boutiques in quest of scent until finally finding a vendor willing to take an order. Even though it's been ten years, I'll never forget how I rushed to the campus bookstore after class to grab that bottle. Elegant packaging, but no frills; the bottle is plain and comes in a white and lilac box with a silver stripe. But the aroma is incredible. Light but lingering, slightly sweet but not sickeningly so, delicate, elegant, and airy. The romanticism of a real connection, not the flirtation of a casual acquaintance. I've always felt at ease in it, both then and today; the scent works nicely with my own. I'm getting older, and it appears to be maturing along with me; although at 22 I found it overtly girly, I now hear hints of wisdom in it. In addition, I could only take "Love in Paris" with me through my pregnancy because every other scent I used to enjoy gives me a headache or makes me sick to my stomach. It's great that I no longer frequently smell this perfume on other women. The lifespan is only 10 years; I'll be buying more.
