We used to have a shoulder bag that my husband liked to take with him on trips and we're always looking for a worthy replacement. This bag is just fine. It's smaller than I expected but still holds a lot. I love that you can switch the strap from left to right to right to left. I love that it leaves your phone readily available in the belt pouch. His iPhone 8 easily fits in his pocket. We didn't test it in rainy weather. The most annoying thing is that the phone pocket on the chest doesn't move and is too high. As the pouch settles down, it will begin to rise very high on your chest. It's okay if you don't wear it for a long time. Overall this is a good little bag for essentials like sunscreen, snacks and a water bottle. We will continue to use this bag, but we will also continue our search for the perfect shoulder bag.
