Review on New Balance Arishi Running Scarlet by Brett Robinson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Mid-top sneakers. No super supportive cushioning.

I'm not a runner but as I tend to be more active I decided to buy a pair of everyday golf and walking shoes to keep my athletic shoes from getting worn out. First. These are not spongy. The low weight is clearly noticeable. They are mesh and more of a canvas material on the foot but have toe protection which I like. The shoes are more suitable for everyday use or walking/jogging. I haven't fully broken them in, but they just don't have the support and cushioning that the more expensive shoes from New Balance, Brooks, Hoka, etc. offer. I will use them as a casual shoe and maybe for golf. I wouldn't bet money on their durability, but at $40 and a very wide width (I'd go a long way if you usually wear wide ones), it's hard to beat. I agree with most reviewers that they lack support and cushioning, but if you want regular running shoes or just shoes that look good, grab an insole from the store and stick your paw in this suction cup.

Pros
  • Nice item
Cons
