They're prettier, but ultimately not as durable, functional or versatile as pricier hinged versions like Le Parfait tins. It's great for sourdough, actually better than hinged jars as I can pour out sourdough much easier than with a flip-top flutter on the go. I don't use clamps on my starter at all, I just run a drop of water over the rim and clamp the gasket to form a seal. So of course I've already lost the clips! Of the minuses, I received only one lid when I received two cans, two seals and two sets of clips. And the package was delivered to my neighbor's door, although I can hardly blame the product!
