Changes the entire experience

I've always used the surround sound system for gaming and it handled FPS games very well. Last year it seemed everyone was getting better, although I know my goal hasn't decreased. After hearing my friends swear by using headphones, I decided to give it a try. No doubt I will never play an FPS game without them. I've already won several 1st place battle royales after using headphones. The spatial awareness is incredible. Just remember that this device is perfect if you want to block out all outside noise. Your head will get hot and you won't notice what's going on around you. They make the Sennheiser GSP 500 open, which allows air to be drawn into the ear cups and ambient noise to be heard. They cost a bit more, but if your head gets hot fast and you need to hear the doorbell or whatever around you, I'd recommend the ones that are more expensive than the GSP 300. I also recommend the $30 Hyper X USB stick than it will give the headphones enough power. If you use them on PS4, you also need to buy a USB stick. I hope this review helps someone as my game has changed for the better. I returned this model and went to the GSP 500 after a parallel test and found I needed a cooler head and being able to hear my real life surroundings.
