Get all your connection points, threads, seating surfaces and all NEW hose washers clean as a whistle. Be sure to remove any old disintegrated washer material. Put a little MagicLube or other silicone waterproof grease on both sides of all the rubber washers you will be using. Put Rectorseal T plus 2 pipe sealant on all male threads. Hand tighten all connections, don’t use tools yet. Test for leaks. Gently tool tighten leak points. Forceful over tightening will distort the rubber washers and make the leaks worse and or prevent the quick connect from seating. If leaks persist, disassemble and inspect for damage. These are cheap Chinese connectors, but they are full flow orifices (1/2” not 3/4” as stated in the description) and assembled as described above work fine. Long term update later. By the way, inspect all your orifices for size in your entire system, especially any hose splitter ball valves. The item in the water flow chain with the smallest orifice will be your rate limiting step, and likely it will be the splitter valves. Finding full flow orifices on these various hose accessories is a bit of a trick here on ebay, most of them are very small. But these quick connects are full half inch, not 3/8 nor 5/16 like most others.
