The instructions say that the light can be turned off. While this is true, the fog output indicator will remain on. So if you use it at night like I did, it lights up the entire diffuser. There are also three fog options - two of which say they don't beep at the end of a cycle. It is not true. All three cycles squeak - loud! So again not suitable for the night. I use it for stress relief to help me fall asleep, but it doesn't help when there's a different light in my room and something squeaks loudly to wake me up. I bought it because it was a lightning deal but I had to pay a few bucks more and get something of value.
