Review on Wii Zapper: Master Link's Crossbow Training with the Official Accessory by Kevin Cheek

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I prefer to play shooters without a zapper

1 week real time and 7 hours game time later I got silver medals for all 9 levels and platinum medals for the first 4 levels, some think the complexity is too easy. The game didn't require the Wii zapper, so if high scores are more important to you, I'd play it without the zapper. If Nintendo really wanted the player to use the Wii Zapper, they would have found a way to let the game know if I was using it or not. The Wii Zapper lagged and it was so uncomfortable that my hands cramped. Overall, it made my marksmanship worse and gave me low scores. I suspect the Wii Zapper added complexity. Otherwise I liked the game. It felt like a Wii Play mini-game, but using The Legend of Zelda universe made the game feel more complete. Especially in the context of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess universe, Link's crossbow training reminded me of my first love for Legend of Zelda. Motion controls and Legend of Zelda go hand in hand.
