I bought two boots in the middle of a wet winter when one of my horses had an abscess. A lot of fiddling with an abscess - envelopes, soaking, checking. I took them off everyday, cleaned and blow dried and let the hooves dry while the horse stood in clean shavings, then put them back on with a large dose of hoof powder.
