Had no problems with the Supermart but this needle threader was 'upgraded' from the original I used with an old Kenmore I bought voluntarily. This is one of the needle threaders where you put the thread over the needle, then thread it into the needle and gently push until the small food pin pushes the thread through the eye of the needle. Well, they cut the slot where the needle slides down deeper than the slot where the thread enters, maybe to accommodate hand needles. This allows the barb to slip next to the thread rather than being pushed through the eye. This will work but you might have to try 2 or 3 times to get it done whereas the old Kenmore needle threader works almost every time. They're still available through Sears, but cost around $17. Ouch!
