I bought this to extend the left speaker cable on my Logitech Z625 system because the cable that came with the speaker is too short. As this is a good speaker that I paid a lot of money for and as I was planning to buy a good quality optical cable I thought it wise to spend a little more on a good speaker extension cable. There were many others at half the price, but while my untrained ear couldn't tell the difference, I thought "what's a few bucks more" to guarantee good, long-lasting sound. It appears to be solidly assembled with quality components. I recommend it.
