I had other silicone cases for my GPS and they were too soft and stretchy. It eventually broke off when he fell, and then he failed to protect the device. This is a stronger silicone that offers the protection you need and stays in place. It also wraps around the edges of the screen. I put on a protective glass, but that stuck out the furthest and only broke off what was on the bracket. This protection moves the glass 1/8 inch away from the front so it is no longer affected.
