I received this adapter and did not expect any problems as I have used other models of Wi-Fi EDUP connectors with little incident. I opened the package, plugged it in and installed the driver. ah. no driver. Checked the EDUP website, still no driver. I checked the Revain site again and at the bottom next to the reviews was the phrase "Does not support Linux". Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww! It would help if it was at the top of the page. However since this is a Realtek based chipset I found the 802.11ac driver for Realtek chips and after running the build it works like a champ. I already installed the promotional version for the previous adapter, but I need the button style as it's less intrusive (and less prone to damage) than the rod antenna option. This is on a repurposed laptop (7 year old i3) that I've revived using Linux. It moves a little, so the adapter's compactness is what's most useful. I will continue to buy this family of adapters as they seem reliable, but be sure to check the supported operating systems at the top of the page. , especially the unsupported ones? Many Thanks.
