They work great and hardly show up on my old wooden kitchen chairs. The legs of my chair are round and 1 inch in diameter. I ordered 3/4" to 1" not 1" to 1 1/4" because the chairs are on a rough, non-slip kitchen tile floor (not easy to slip) and the caps move. Lids do not slide easily when properly seated. But that wasn't a problem, I just had to use a butter knife as a "shoehorn" on the last tab to put them on. Keep trying if they are a little difficult to put on. If they just lie down, they're likely to wobble and wear out faster. Time will tell how quickly the flimsy felt backing wears out, but sticking a felt disc to the outside of this lid if necessary is much better than trying to force the felt disc to stay on an unevenly worn wooden base. So tired of scraping that sticky residue off the floor with Goo Gone from other types of chair savers. Very happy.
