On the R5, it's offset from the center of the lens with a small cage. Good grip, probably for small hands, but very ergonomic, so fits big hands too. There's a swivel in the middle, but it was easier for me to just take everything off and flip it. Both are very nice options. The distance between fingers and camera is good, the fingers do not touch. It wobbles a bit just holding the top handle, although that might just be my amateur hand. 5/5 would recommend to friends Edit: Found that if you adjust the orientation a bit the shake stops. He is absolutely stable.
