When my 10-year-old granddaughter was three years old, she said that one day she would be a pilot. She has flown extensively both domestically and internationally and intends to start flying lessons once she is old enough. Anything to do with flying makes them tremble. I have another iconic airplane from this company and they love them, but I like this one better. It has more detail and the white and red on it looks like enamel with a gold rim. It's made from zinc alloy and has a butterfly clasp at the back to attach it to a shirt, lapel or even a tie. It also comes with a spare backing pad. It is 1½ inches long and 1 inch high and would be very cute for a little girl, although it is featured on the lapel of a man's jacket.
