Boots arrived well packaged At first glance these boots look more like a pair of expensive designer sneakers than motorcycle boots. I'm surprised by the quality at this price. My first impression was that there is a lot of natural leather in these boots. The toe of the boot has an extra layer of leather where the shifter meets the top and side of the boot. This definitely helps with wear at contact points. Also, these aren't steel-toed boots, but they do have a reinforced toe that helps prevent crushing of your toes if something falls on them. The ankle protection fabric has a rubber sleeve/mold underneath that covers the ankle. Lots of padding on the collar/neck of the boot and on the tongue. Despite the presence of shoelaces, the side zip makes it quick and easy to put on and take off. Zippers have an extra piece of fabric that sits between the zipper and the foot/ankle to increase the comfort of the boot. The YKK brand zippers themselves are the best out there in my opinion. The sole is very grippy. Not sure if it's the pattern or the material that gives traction to the sole, but it works well. The boots came with red laces, but there was also a set of light green laces in the box. If you don't like any of the colors, you can buy any other color you like. I can wear black paracord on mine. These boots are surprisingly comfortable and like I said, they look like they could be a pair of expensive sneakers. I feel like I can wear these boots around town even when I'm not on my bike, for the price I couldn't be happier. They seem to have all the characteristics of the more expensive boots I've seen. I would recommend them to my friends.
