Quite an interesting HDMI to VGA converter. It doesn't reprocess the input video, which means it outputs exactly what you input. You get a low-latency signal, making it perfect for gaming. I've tried 60fps games on a couple of consoles and the game seemed to me to be completely lag free, but I can't say the lag is zero, so let's say very low lag. Now if you need a converter that can increase or decrease resolution, you don't need or want this. It is not an upscaler or downscaler. However, if your HDMI source device can output the resolution that your VGA display accepts, this converter offers a very low latency display. I didn't notice any issues with gamma, brightness, or color fidelity. As expected, there is horizontal blurring in VGA displays, but this is within an acceptable range. This is only noticeable on fine meshes and you have to get very close to the screen to bring out this detail. It also outputs stereo audio to a standard headphone jack, but I haven't tried that feature. One would assume it would work well, but I can't comment on the sound quality. All in all, this is an excellent converter to use a gaming console with an HDMI output on a VGA monitor. Highly recommended!
