This would have been a four star rating if I hadn't gone through a lot of heartache trying to figure out how to finally get this working properly. Let's deal with the obvious. not on the way. The smooth, hard handle that attaches to your desk was a TERRIBLE design decision. I twisted the thing as tight as I could only to see the clamp finally free from my desk. Common sense was to put some kind of cup shaped metal collar on it with rubber grommets. This would provide a secure hold. I tried putting a piece of sticky rubber under the clamp's handle, but that didn't work either. Eventually the clamp began to move away from the table again. I finally found a solution and I haven't had any problems since. First I connected the two adjustable parts of the mount at the top of the three possible positions. I cut off a strip of shelf liner and covered the table with it. A standard liner with holes in it will not fit. You need a solid shelf liner like the Duck Brand Solid Grip EasyLiner available here at Revain. I slid the mount over the liner onto my desk and tightened the clamp as tight as I could. A month and several days have passed and the braces have never slipped off! It was ridiculous that it took so much effort to be happy with the product but now I agree.
