I have a 12 lb older cat that only wants to sleep in covered cat beds. I have it for the room but it definitely won't go there. I think it's because of the triangular shape that it feels like it doesn't have enough space, although it looks like it should. Haven't used this outdoors yet but I doubt the fabric will hold up. It's too late for me to send it back, but like cat beds, you have to give it a chance to see if your cat will end up using it. In this case, it just won't. Since the bed is more expensive compared to others, this is quite an expensive mistake.
