I almost gave a bad rating. So I plug in the device and everything looks great: it's very quiet, everything corresponds to the description. I set it to "Auto" and the light turned blue, which means the air quality is good. I live in Los Angeles and with all the talk about how terrible the air is over here, I expected the lights to be at least green or amber. So I'm just wondering if this thing will do anything? I left it for another day. The first time I realized it actually worked was when I was cooking fish and there was quite a bit of smoke in the room. The light switched from blue to green to red in a matter of minutes and the device got louder and it was obvious it was working hard. When the smoke cleared, it returned to its normal, calm state. But the best came three days later. I noticed that there is significantly less dust on the TV stand. Usually everything is dusty for 3 days or so. For a week there was almost no dust. So it definitely works at filtering dust, which I think is a win-win: less cleaning and cleaner air to breathe!
