To fit a 2006 Honda Civic, the Air Flow script is on the side of the filter, not the front

Not knowing much about cars I had to search YouTube to find out what's happening with our 2006 Honda Civic is when I heard a strange sound like nuts falling into the glove box. After many hours of searching I found out that there is a cabin air filter behind the glove box. Also, we didn't get much air through the vents and there was noise when the fan was running. who had never played around with cars. I couldn't believe what I found. I barely got the filter. It was all torn up and just a huge mess. Finally I pulled out the tray, threw everything in a garbage bag; looked back into the hole and saw a huge, huge mess that I started ripping out with my hands. It was so compact and wide that I could barely fit through the hole. Eventually I realized it was a mouse nest and was frustrated that I wasn't using gloves and all my clothes were covered in dust. ordered it. But it didn't fit the case exactly like the one I replaced with "Airflow" on the front of the case. I had to rotate the filter to fit. Instead, the lettering "airflow" is on the side. So, I think I got it right. Pleating goes horizontally, not vertically. After going through all of this and watching the YouTube video again, I found that the housing/frame that houses the filter was also damaged by the mouse. The mouse gnawed at all the handrails. I must add, very carefully. If I hadn't seen this video I would have never known that there are support bars on the underside of the frame. This led to another search which was much more difficult because I had to replace the frame and really didn't know what to do. name it. In case any of you need to know, it's called a filter assembly. It took me a long time to find it. This caused me a lot more confusion, but I think I have the right one now. For the time being I put this carbon filter in a damaged frame. I didn't drive because of the coronavirus. I hope I didn't damage anything when I aggressively cleaned the fan with a vacuum attachment (I think it's the fan). And I'm wondering if it's safe to use a frame with no supports. I'll probably change that on the next trip. In summary: I understand that this is much more information than is needed for an overview of the filter. As for the filter, yes, I think it fits. The words "airflow" with arrows pointing down are on the side of the filter, not the front like the original I replaced. But the pleating is horizontal, just like the original. Now I have to figure out how to get pests to stop doing this. The mouse also tore up all of the hood insulation, which now hangs from the hood like spanish moss. I guess I'll have to cut it down and get the car fixed when the coronavirus pandemic is over.
