I was pleasantly surprised by this gadget. I was skeptical at first but decided to give it a try because I'm trying to take better care of my hair. I've had a lot of breakdowns and heard they're less dangerous than flat irons. After a little research, I found out that this model has the lowest possible temperature regime. This was the main selling point because I have fine, thin hair. I usually leave it below 300 degrees and I've noticed far less breakage than with an iron. It glides through my hair quite smoothly while my hair always gets caught between the plates of my straightener. I also love that it leaves some of your natural body in your hair instead of making it smooth and lifeless. I don't mind if my hair isn't straight as long as it's curly, so this works great for me. For the record, I have thin, shoulder-length, curly hair. It's also easy to do a little flip or wave by wrapping your hair around the brush and you don't have to worry so much about burning your hair. On the other hand, you cannot apply the product to your hair before use because it is difficult to clean between the bristles. Even if you have very curly hair, you probably won't be able to straighten it completely. If I let my hair air dry to its natural curl and then use this comb I will loosen most of the frizz, but I still have some kinks in places. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase, but it might not be for everyone.
