I buy this food to feed a feral cat that comes to my house to eat every day. The price for 12 cans of cat food is great and the cat loves it. I alternate dry food with this cat food during the warmer months, but in the winter when I find my cat needs more fat and protein for energy I feed her only this 9 Lives cat food. A year ago she stopped being afraid of me (humans) and now allows me to pet her head and back when she purrs loudly. It was a wonderful experience and I would like to believe that I am helping a poor being who would otherwise be starving. I would like to take her with me but I already have a house cat and she would not accept a new guest. Also, I think a feral cat actually enjoys being feral, if that makes any sense.
