I have a 17" laptop with an SSD that fits, hangs over the cooler ca. Fan speed is a bit difficult to get in the middle of the back of the cooler. I Don't expect to have to play with the fan speed too much, so it doesn't matter. The aluminum plate underneath the laptop helps keep it cool - in addition to the large fan.My CPU temp is consistently around 80 degrees Celsius, in comparison to peaks to mid and over 90s with no cooler CPU doesn't need to throttle as often and should last longer Cooler works too .goes up to 50 degrees Celsius instead of reaching 70 degrees Celsius Cooler is also quiet There is no hard drive in the laptop (SDD only) - T So the laptop is quiet, however it's hard to tell if the little noise I hear is from the laptop or the cooler - and that's with a fan m at high speed. Hope it holds up over time.
