Not only do they come in handy for a lot of common household shearing jobs, I've found them extremely useful for my woodworking projects too. They're perfect when I need to hold small pieces of wood (and other materials too) in place while I'm drilling a pilot hole or getting ready to apply glue - they free my hands. Sometimes I don't need a strong clamp; I just need some light pressure to hold the fragile things together while putting the bra on. When I'm working with wood no thicker than 3/4 inch, I use these clamps to hold the pieces in place so I can step back and see if I like the design. I have dozens and dozens of clamps ranging from hand clamps to small hand screw clamps and 6 foot pipe clamps, so it's funny to find these so-called clothespins so useful for woodworking.
