For the price these are decent leggins. They are soft but made of thinner material. Even though it is thin is is not so much that they become "see through" once on. I will note due to the thinner material I would by no means consider them comfortable for super cold weather (it is about 35 here today and the wind cuts through these easily and it was not fun walking outside at all today). I am about 5'8 and the length of these are good. I typically wear a medium in other leggins and these fit fine at the waist. They do seem pretty stretchy which is both good and bad. Good for when you need some stretch bad if you are trying to give support to hold things in. My biggest issue with this is that on my pair, the plaid does not line up with the left and right sides- especially toward the top of the legging (it is very obvious). I have a longer shirt on with these so it covers this part, but it sort of makes them look off balance (if that makes sense). Perhaps this is supposed to be like this, but its all I could see and I had to judge whether I could even keep these as I really like symmetrical. In the long run, since the shirt i will wear with these covers the uneven parts, I can deal with it, especially since they are a pretty cheap pair of leggins.
