First of all I don't understand how people complain about the quality after washing. It has shrunk (like any normal natural fiber) but is still of excellent quality. After washing it was easier to use as it picked up my toner better. The bag it came in was fine after washing and drying. I washed the pads in a bag with warm clothing and then dried them on medium heat. As you can see in my photo, the unwashed pad has a "shine". It really takes some getting used to after using cotton pads. But it's easy to get used to. Zigzag stitching down the center holds the fabric in place and allows for easy one-handed manipulation. My toners repelled the pads before washing but absorbed a little more after washing. I feel like I use less toner now as it's not fully absorbed. I would recommend it to anyone who wants something "greener". TO UPDATE; 9 months have passed since the purchase. I bought a second pack and used all the pads. Even after a weekly wash, they're still in great shape; even the bags they came with!
